I certainly hope you do keep an eye on Mendeley, because these guys have a lot of talent and with the backing of those involved with projects as successful as Skype and last.fm, they're probably not going away any time soon. There's a new release coming up as well, (which I've already seen) and it looks pretty good. I know this might be a bit premature, but if you're ever in a position to do a short class on Mendeley (as an alternative to Endnote, for example), I can send you some prepared screenshots and other teaching materials.
