I’m pretty sure that this is the best plagiarism video that will ever be made.

I'm not saying anything, I'm just saying.
Ghost Book
From the GSU Library Learning Commons Theatre comes the spine-tingling (get it? get it?) ... Ghost Book!
Happy Halloween.
Librarian superheroes
Wow, I started a meme!
A committee at work was writing a sample letter to faculty, and we signed it "Librarian X." Naturally, some of us started speculating that Librarian X must be a superhero, and at the end of the day I whipped up a picture of him on Heromachine to send out.
Here he is, fighting information illiteracy wherever it may occur: Librarian X!

Librarian X
Naturally, my colleague protested that he's male; fair enough, given the demographics of our profession. I was instructed to make a female version (Librarian XX, to go with this Librarian XY). I haven't gotten around to it yet. Maybe they're a duo?
The other members of the Library League that I know of:
Alter Ego (I like his steampunky edge)
W!cKed (Intimidating!)
Drop a comment if you want me to link you here. Ex Libris and Excelsior!
Edit: Created a Flickr pool! More librarian heroes there!
Flashing lights, sirens for maintaining library quiet
Flashing Lights Warn Library Visitors to Be Quiet
"When [noise] exceeds the level by at least 15 decibels, the red light illuminates and a siren can go off, too."
Good plan. That'll help maintain a subdued study space.

Because Penguins Rock
I'm emerging from a haze of cold medicine this week.... Is everyone I know sick?
Yesterday a colleague was looking through student feedback from a class. One student had suggested an improvement for future library class sessions: "Have the instructor wear a penguin costume because penguins rock."

Zotero swag
Zotero's campus rep sent me some swag for teaching Zotero workshops this semester. Stickers, flyers and a t-shirt.
When I showed my friend Rachel the t-shirt, she said "Wow, Jason, I didn't think you could get any nerdier, but you have a 3x5 card on your shirt."
